First Communion is fast approaching and so is our First Communion retreat! It will all look a little different this year, but it will be a special couple of days regardless! We have decided to put on a two day retreat this year so that more students will be able to participate in person. The retreat dates are September 23rd and 24th. Below is important information to note in regards to the retreat:

Volunteers: Unfortunately, we will be unable to have parent volunteers participate in the First Communion retreat this year. However, you are still an important part of preparing your child for First Communion. Please continue to talk about the significance of this important day with your children at home!

T-shirts: Your students may wear their P.E. uniform on the day of retreat. Each student will also be given a First Communion retreat shirt to wear on the retreat days. We will send these home ahead of time for students that will be virtual on September 23rd so that they can wear their shirt at home. Students who will be in person both days of retreat can wear their shirt both days.

Snack/Lunch: Students should bring a snack and lunch from home on the retreat days.

Palanca Letters: Please continue to collect Palanca letters for your child. These letters are very meaningful. Palanca letters will not be sent into school this year. You can read them at home with your child on one of the retreat days.

Virtual Students: Some of the retreat activities will stay the same on both days so that more students will be able to participate in person. For virtual students, Zoom links, video links, craft supplies and instructions will be provided for some activities. All links and a schedule for the retreat days will be posted to Google classroom. We are trying to involve the virtual kids as much as possible. For students who are all virtual, you will be able to come pick up your retreat t-shirt and supplies on September 22nd.
